Website Support

Need help with the website you already have?

SwornIT provides practical, as-needed help for existing websites — including sites we did not originally build.

We don’t have to build your website to help with it

If your current website needs a fix, update, new section, layout change, or general troubleshooting, SwornIT can first review what you have and determine a practical path forward.

What website support can look like

Specific help for a specific website need

Website Support is designed for businesses that need help now without necessarily signing up for an ongoing maintenance relationship.

01 / FIX

Troubleshooting

Something is broken, behaving unexpectedly, or no longer working the way it should. We can review the issue and determine what can be done.

02 / CHANGE

Website updates

Update text, images, services, contact information, calls to action, or other existing content without rebuilding the whole site.

03 / IMPROVE

Page & layout changes

Add sections, create pages, reorganize content, or improve an existing layout when the site needs more than a simple text change.

Common support requests

The website work that comes up after the original build

You may not need a new website. You may simply need someone who can understand the current one, make the right change, and get you moving again.

01

Content updates

Change business information, service descriptions, text, images, links, contact details, and other visible content.

02

New pages or sections

Expand the site when a new service, offer, team member, location, or business need requires additional content.

03

Layout & usability changes

Improve the organization, presentation, or usability of an existing page without assuming the whole website needs replacing.

04

Troubleshooting

Investigate forms, page elements, display problems, or other website behavior that is not working as expected.

05

General website help

If you know something needs attention but are not sure what the technical solution is, explain the problem and we can start there.

How website support works

Start with the problem. Then figure out the right fix

Existing websites can vary widely. Rather than promising a solution before seeing the site, we first understand the request, review the current setup, and determine what is practical.

01

Tell us what is happening

Send the website address and explain the problem, update, or change you need help with.

02

We review the site

We look at the current website, platform, and request so we can understand what we are working with.

03

We recommend a path

You get a straightforward explanation of what appears practical and what should happen next.

04

We handle the work

Once the scope is agreed on, the requested update, repair, or change can move forward.

Already have a website?

We’ll start by looking at what you have

Supporting a website built elsewhere sometimes requires access to the platform, hosting account, themes, plugins, integrations, or other systems. The exact requirements depend on the site.

A TYPICAL REVIEW MAY INCLUDE
Website platform and current setup
The specific problem or requested change
Access required to perform the work
Whether the current website can reasonably support the request

Some third-party platforms, custom sites, older websites, or restricted hosting environments may have limitations that need to be identified first.

Website support or ongoing maintenance?

Choose based on what you need right now

The two services overlap in the kind of work that may be performed, but the relationship is different.

Need more than a fix?

Sometimes the existing website has reached its limit

If the current site no longer fits the business or has become harder to improve than it is worth, we can also talk about a new website project.

Website support questions

Before we get started

Can you work on a website you didn’t build?

Yes. Existing website support is a core SwornIT service. We first review the site and request so we can understand how it was built and what will be required.

Do I need an ongoing maintenance plan?

No. Website Support is intended for as-needed requests. If you later decide you want ongoing website care, SwornIT also offers a separate Maintenance & Support service.

What access will you need?

It depends on the work. We may need access to the website platform, hosting account, or other services connected to the site. We will identify what is required before work begins.

Can every website be supported?

Not necessarily. Existing websites can vary significantly in platform, age, customization, access, and condition. We review the site first so we can determine whether the requested work is practical.

Can you make changes instead of rebuilding the whole site?

Often, yes. If the existing website is still a workable foundation, targeted updates and improvements may make more sense than replacing everything.
